Gender Reveal BaByQ theme

The mother-to-be's dad is a barber and her mother is a wonderful hairstylist (I know from first hand experience).  So the theme to the reveal party: Barber shop or Beauty shop? Clippers or Combs?

My friend/hairstylist Kisha is always coming up with out-of-the-world (way beyond the box) themes for parties so I had to come through with her vision. You don't wanna even know what her first theme was gonna be 😣.

Sleeping On Clouds (Baby Photography)

There is nothing sweeter or more angelic than a sleeping baby. When my son was a baby I could stare at him for the longest time just admiring his little features and waiting for him to smile on his sleep.
Little Miss A'Niya Mecole inspired me to make this scene to photograph her sleeping so angelically.
I used her changing table and most materials were purchased from my favorite store Hobby Lobby: the sky background (bulletin paper), fabrics, flowers, and clouds (pillow stuffing).

Magnetic black dry erase board

I'd never seen a black dry erase board before (well I never really go to the school/office supply aisle except to buy pens, pencils, or paper) and when I saw that you use neon dry-erase markers to write on it I thought "how cute!?!" and I knew I wanted to spice it up for my cousin who's in high school.  The magnets that were in the store were cute but a little more than I wanted to spend so here comes the crafty part: How do I make my own super cute magnets at a low price? EASY! I had this collage of girly words on hand that I bought at Hobby Lobby when scrapbook paper was on sale 4/$1.00.
For the name plaque I took black chipboard and applied 1 coat of FolkArt ® Metallics - Sequin Blackpaint to make it shine, cut zebra paper 1 inch smaller and glued.  Stenciled name, painted with Apple Barrel ® Gloss™ - Glow-In-The-Dark Pink paint and covered with pink glitter. And just for a little more pizazz I glittered a few zebra stripes.  DIY magnets= cute personal messages! Yes…

Beach Theme Wedding Reception

The lovely Mr. & Mrs. Morgan went the destination wedding route and recited their vows on a beautiful sandy beach in Mexico. Then decided to bring the beach (theme) back to the great state of Texas to celebrate with family and friends.
For this beach inspired reception we went with teal, seashells, pearls, candles, burlap and sand decor with shimmery accents.
One of the highlights of the decor was this fabulous gold sequin backdrop with a teal curtain that everyone struck a pose in front of.

The beach sand trays, vellum and sequins lampshades, fishing net wrapped mason jars, and hand painted and glittered shells decor were all custom made (by The CGD studio of course).

Material list:

Sequins Mesh Fabric - Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store
Rosebud Embroidered Mesh Fabric- Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store
Teal and Gold Nylon Tulle Fabric- Alforal
