This was a super easy and cute way to decorate for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Materials: •wood plaque •Americana acrylic paint in Burnt Orange and Antique Gold •sealer and gloss varnish •glitter in fall hues •leaves- I cut leaves from a 12x12 piece of scrapbook paper, but you could use a bag of fall leaves as well. •chipboard letters (the ones I had on hand were lime green but I painted them brown) •adhesive  Directions: sand wood if needed, apply coat of sealer, let dry. Paint chipboard letters if needed, set aside and let dry while you work on the plaque. Paint wood- I did two different colors so I wouldn't look flat. Cut leaves and apply glitter.  Adhere letters and if you painted your letters like I then apply varnish (gloss or matte) to entire surface. Let dry. Then adhere leaves and you got yourself an easy Thanksgiving decoration.  **with different colors and a different saying this project could easily be made for another holiday**
